Abstract

The aim of this paper is to summarize the results of precipitation chemistry measurements carried out in Hungary by using bulk and wet-only collectors. While data gained by bulk collectors show a west to east gradient in the concentration of different constituents, results obtained with a network consisting of wet-only gauges indicate a rather uniform composition. In the averaged monthly data, a spring maximum can be identified. For the last ten years the concentration of nitrate has increased in precipitation.
